A fully bespoke Squarespace build for a 24/7 emergency trades company, custom-coded to look nothing like Squarespace.

GEM247 are central London's emergency electricians, plumbers and heating engineers, backed by 30 years of GEM Environmental Building Services. When a boiler breaks down, a fuse board trips or a pipe bursts, a real person answers the phone, any hour of the day. They wanted a website that matched that level of service, and didn't look like it had come off a template.

So we built one that doesn't. This is a Squarespace site that looks less and less like Squarespace the closer you look at it. We wrote extensive custom code to create bespoke blocks and pop-out components, giving the site a fully tailored feel and interactions that go well beyond what the platform offers out of the box. Every element was built around how GEM247 actually work and how their customers actually search, rather than bent to fit a stock layout.

The result is a high-end, bespoke website that happens to run on Squarespace, structured so it's easy for people to navigate in a stressful moment and easy for search engines and AI tools to read and recommend. Clear borough coverage, from Chelsea and Mayfair to Hackney and Southwark, sits alongside the trust signals that turn a moment of panic into a phone call.
